My Story

Ever meet that type of person who loves what they are doing so much, they almost can’t stop talking about it? Well, that’s me! I confess to, in my early days of my own healing journey, talking about holistic health to the point that I saw people actually backing away!

In the years since I first started working with clients, I’ve learned to tone that down but I still have plenty of enthusiasm, along with an understanding to meet people where they are in their personal journeys with caring and encouragement.

I want as many people as possible to hear the message that they can change the course of their health, that they can harness the strength and power within them and cultivate energy to sleep well, feel good and look good.

I struggled for years with what I now know was IBS. I’d eat a seemingly innocent meal such as a ham and cheese sandwich and have horrible reactions.
 

On top of that, I started developing insomnia, anxiety and panic attacks that were near incapacitating. Doctors really didn’t provide me with any relief, just gave me advice to watch my diet (stay away from fats, greasy, spicy foods) and gave me anti-anxiety medication.

Since the medication made me feel weird and my digestion continued to worsen, I decided to start exploring what I could do on my own.

Fast forward 15 years and after much researching, trial and error and finally getting a plan that worked for me that included identifying food sensitivities, supplementation, and diet and lifestyle modification, I’m happy to say I now experience balance in my body, mind and spirit and you can too!

My Approach

I take a holistic, functional approach to rebuilding health by uncovering the root causes of insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and fatigue. I have a basic four-fold plan:

EDUCATION

Helping you understand how your body is being challenged.

Exploration

Through a process of interviews, conversations, forms and assessments we will assess where the imbalances are and discover your unique biological makeup - everyone is different!

Evaluation

Taking all of the information we have gathered and providing a comprehensive plan on how to achieve your goals.

Encouragement

I am a participant in your journey, providing guidance, encouragement, further ideas for compliance and high fives!


Professional Bio

After thousands of hours researching and teaching herself these principles, Sandy Nannen studied herbalism at Clayton School of Natural Health to increase her knowledge.

She then graduated from Hawthorn University’s three-year program to become a Nutrition Consultant. She is a Autoimmune Protocol Certified Coach and is completing Chris Kresser’s ADAPT training in functional medicine and ancestral health.

She currently works with clients of all ages and from all walks of life.
